Mbeya Water Supply and sanitation Authority (Mbeya WSSA) is an autonomous water supply organization mandated to provide water and sewerage disposal services within the urban area of Mbeya city. It was established in January 1998 under section 3 (1) of Act No.8 OF 1997, repealed by Act No.12 of 2009.

SENIOR PLANNING, DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN ( 2POSTS )

Qualifications

Holder of an Ordinary Diploma or Full Technician Certificate in Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Sanitary/Environmental Engineering from any recognized Technical Institution with experience of at least of 6 year in water supply and sewerage industry and registered as an Engineering Technician by Engineers Registration Board of Tanzania. Computer literacy is a must.

Key Result Areas (Duties and Responsibilities)

To plan and Survey all water works for new water supply distribution networks and new customer connections.

To liaise with Municipality and Local Government in matters relating to preparation of comprehensive water and sewerage extension plans.

To facilitate other institutions when developing short, medium and long term Authority’s p an in water supply and sewerage infrastructures development.

To supervise field surveys.

To prepare engineering designs, preparation of BOQ and project write ups (or documents) of all planned areas for water and sewerage infrastructure development.

To coordinate preparation of technical progress reports.

To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant authorities

To liaise with other institutions when developing short, medium and long term Authority’s plan in water supply and sewerage infrastructures development.

To supervise field the construction of water projects.

To prepare engineering designs. BOQ and project write ups (or documents) of all planned areas for water and sewerage infrastructure development.

To coordinate preparation of technical progress reports.

To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant authorities

Applicant MUST be a Tanzanian

Applicant Age should not be above 45 years

Applicants who studied outside Tanzania should have a Certification from NECTA andTCU
